“Charles Gastine Aufrere, born 18th December, 1770. Perished the 9th October 1799 off the Coast of Holland on board H.M.S. Frigate Lutine, of which this excellent and lamented young man was first Lieutenant.”
I have put this death date in, for want of any other information.
