She and Walter had two sons, David and Alan but both their lines died out and on his death, Walter gave a voluntaty declaration that Thomas Maule, ancestor of the earls of PanMure was the heir of line of his wife.

On his execution the Brechin estates were lost to the crown, though the Maules purchased them in 1634.
