Notes for Sir Michael de Poynings
CP (Vol X, pp. 656-9) gives his ancestry back to Domesday times, and the early entries are confirmed by Keats-Rohan (DD p. 651 and DP p. 488). These ancestors of his are not included as they are neither ancestral, nor related, nor in-laws.

June 2005, TFPL: Some fairly fortuious and then determined work on the ancestors of John Gobard, whose dau Frances married Thomas Barrington, led to some Nevill of Thornton Bridge ancestors and through them to some Gaskons or Gascoignes and through the latter to some later Percies and hence to the Poynings. Now to add in another Domesday ancestor, the 150th.
