Notes for Marjorie Isabel V Edwards
In the 1901 census she was living with her parents at 11 High St, Wincanton, Somerset, aged 4 and born in East Grinstead, Sussex.
FreeBMD has a Margery Isabel V Edwards born in E Grinstead in Q2 of 1897. This sounds very much like her, so much so that I am accepting it as definitive. This is the only Margery born in E Grinstead District from 1896-1897.

In 1925 a Marjorie L Edwards is reported as marrying a Leslie Clarke in Edmonton:

Was the last a misprint for ‘Marjorie I’?
Anyhow this allows me to find if there were any children of a Clarke with a mother’s maiden name of Edwards from 1925 to c. 1950 and FreeBMD produced about 50 so there were multiple Clarke-Edwards marriages and it will need a post 1925 census to sort this out, the first of which was in 1951, so a fat lot of good!

In 1911 she was aged 13 and a boarding pupil at the Lawn school, Clevedon, Somerset.
FreeBMD has a Margery Isabel V Edwards born in E Grinstead in Q2 of 1897. This sounds very much like her, so much so that I am accepting it as definitive. This is the only Margery born in E Grinstead District from 1896-1897.
