Notes for Luther Pattle Foreman
His joinery business once made cricket bats for the English team.
In the 1901 census, he and his family were living at 161 Granby Street, Newmarket All Saints where he was a manager (build) aged 40 and born in Upend Keitling, Cambs.
On his FreeBMD marriage record, his second name is ‘Pattle’, as it is in his birth record, so I have changed it from ‘Pattel’.
By 1911 he had moved to Chelmsford and was a willow merchant and cricket bat manufacturer.
